At WildflowerFaith.com, your privacy matters. The following privacy policy outlines the types of personal information received and collected by WildflowerFaith.com and how it is used.

What personal data is collected and why

1. Personal Data Required for Leaving Comments

When you choose to leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2. Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

3. Automatically Collected Information

Like many other websites, WildflowerFaith.com automatically collects certain information about the device you use to access the website. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

4. Subscription Services

For your convenience, WildflowerFaith.com offers you the opportunity to sign up to receive new posts by email. If you choose to subscribe, you will need to provide your email address. This information will only be used for the purpose of sending you email versions of the posts from this website. You can choose to unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link contained in the email messages you receive.

5. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may, on rare occasions, include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

6. Links to Other Sites

WildflowerFaith.com contains links to other sites. If you click on one of these links, you will be directed to that site. These are external sites and are not operated by this website. If you are concerned about how external websites gather and use your personal information, you will need to read their privacy policies. WildflowerFaith.com has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. Further, we have no affiliate connection with any of these. In other words, we receive no compensation for placing a link to another site on WildflowerFaith.com. We simply think you’ll find their information relevant.

(If you purchase one of Janet’s books from Amazon.com, she will receive a royalty payment. This payment is the same whether someone uses the links on WildflowerFaith.com or not. These are not affiliate links.)
