I am sure that you saw that little category on my homepage and thought “what in the world”? Well, let me explain. How many times have you been in bible study or church and the pastor (or whoever) be teaching and then go “On a side note” whatever they were going to say?
It happened to me a lot. Not to mention there were so many little things that I found myself wanting to know more about. A word or phrase, a location (although I am doing locations separately) or just anything that caught my eye as I was studying. Things that my little OCD heart couldn’t help but learn more about.
That is what my Bible Side Notes will be. things that I researched, things that readers and followers have asked about or wanted to know more about yet just don’t have the time to look for the answers. Commentary or things that scholars have mentioned that might be worth knowing.
All the little things that make the Bible the Bible. Sometimes they will be a short little bit of information, other times they will be more. I will make sure that I organize them for you though. I plan to be sure all my posts are organized so that you can search by Book in order to find everything in that particular book.
I am also working out a way to include the Side Notes in my regular Bible Study posts when there are some that coordinate. For now if you have something that you just want to know more about but aren’t sure where to search or just have time drop me a note and who knows maybe the next Side Note will be yours.
